Hey, guys! Often we forget that there’s a lot of things to be thankful for. So today, I’d like to dedicate this post to the amazing things I’ve seen, felt, and experienced because of traveling. Hope this inspires you to travel more. The world awaits your presence. 🙂

Gift of Travel Blogging. I’d like to start this list with the gift of travel blogging. It is by far the most satisfying thing I have done in blogging career. Every time I write about a place, I remember the memories I made in the place and how I can always go back and relive it through my post.

Gleeful Travels. I am thankful for “Gleeful Travels,” the name of my first travel blog. It has opened opportunities for me and made me closer to the best friends I have now.

Two Way Travels. Thanks to the phrase, Two Way Travels, my blog has been rebirthed. It gave me a direction to follow and a goal to achieve. This blog has brought me so many blessings.

Travel Blogging Community. Nothing beats having a community that guides you grow into a person you are meant to be; to help you achieve greater heights and see the world in a new perspective. It’s amazing what a travel blogging community can do, and for that, I’m thankful.

Travel Bloggers Suggestions. I always feel thankful whenever I see suggestions from travel bloggers because I know that these places are worth every effort and penny. I created a post just like this; you can visit it here > As Told By Bloggers: Philippine Destinations You Should Visit In Your Lifetime

Travel Checklist. There are two type of people in this world: the first type has a good memory and the second type who… what was it again? Kidding! I’m so forgetful, so I’m thankful for travel checklists. They help me make sure I packed all that I will need for any trip.

First out of the country Trip. I’m thankful for the chance to see other countries. It felt surreal when I first bought my ticket and boarded the plane on the way to Hong Kong & Macau. It was incredible to be in a different place and learn about their culture.

Disneyland. Seeing all my childhood heroes in action is one thing I’ll forever be thankful for. I wish all children can go to Disneyland because it really is a place of magic. When I went there, I was always teary eyed because all my imaginations were made into a reality, especially during the part where they did a musical and a fireworks display.

All expense paid trip to India. I remember when I got the email telling me that I can take advantage of an all expense paid trip to India. I thought it was a scam. I even called the Indian Police Station to verify the email. But it was real… I went there and was treated like a princess. It was my first time sleeping at a 5-star hotel. Whenever I recall it, I’m in awe. 🙂

Pandanon Escapade with the Zylun Team. If there’s one thing I’m thankful for my corporate life in the past, it’s meeting new friends from JP Morgan Chase and Zylun. One of the best experiences I had with them was when my Zylun teammates and I went to Pandanon Island. It was an afternoon of food, laughter, and taking photos of our breasts under water. Yep, so much fun indeed!

Palawan Escapade with close friends. I’m super thankful for finally seeing of the new seven wonders of the world. Being there and seeing this grand cave made me realize how much I love to travel and see more of the world.

Serene Beaches. Don’t you just love the sound of the waves splashing the sea shore? It’s one of the simple pleasures in life that I am most thankful for. It relaxes me, which is why I make sure to turn off my electronics and just listen to the sound of the waves whenever I am near a beach.

Alone Time. Speaking of turning off the electronics, alone time is my favorite time lately. I’m thankful for it because it clears my mind. I go to my room, lie on my bed, and read some books without thinking if I have a new Facebook notification or if somebody liked my Instagram photo.

Islands. The Philippines is blessed with 7107 islands. This is why we are so rich in culture. We have so many tourist spots that we literally can offer just about anything to the world. I love this country, and I’m thankful I was born here, although I dislike how our government uses our resources. But that’s another story. 🙂

Boracay Island. If you want to ask any Pinoy what the top islands are in the country, you’d definitely hear Boracay as one of them. Although heavily commercialized, I still thank Boracay for its beauty. Whenever you feel the need to go out and just have a grand time, to feel young and free, you must go to Boracay.

Parachute Experience. When I was in Boracay last year, I was able to do one thing on my bucket list – ride a parachute. It felt surreal to be up above, to see the whole island, to let go and trust a piece of rope with your life. It felt risky, and I love it. I’m always thankful for experiences like that because they challenge me and make me feel alive.

Hotel Reviews. Whenever I travel, I make sure to read loads of hotel reviews first. I’m thankful for them because they make choosing so much easier, especially when they list the pros and cons of the hotel.

The Henry Hotel. One of the best staycations I had was at The Henry Hotel. I thank that hotel for not giving into the norm, for wanting to be different. Their rooms are wonderfully painted, giving their guests a new experience every time.

City Suites Ramos. Another hotel that I’m thankful for is City Suites Ramos. They have the cleanest utensils ever, and for that I am thankful.

Festivals. What is your favorite festival? Mine is Sinulog. I’m thankful because it’s the time of the year when I can drink and face paint and dance in the middle of the street without anyone judging me.

Masskara Festival. Another festival that I really enjoy is Masskara Festival. Although I’ve only attended it once, I still treasure that time because I spent it with college friends whom I have not seen for the longest time.

Affordable Hotel. Who doesn’t want affordable hotels? When I learned of the app HotelQuickly, I felt really thankful because it saved me hundreds or maybe thousands of pesos in hotel accommodation. I use it every time I travel. If you want to get P600 credits from the app, use my code: MNARV.

Cebu Cheap Accommodation. I always get asked for cheap accommodation in Cebu, and whenever I research, they’re always more than a thousand pesos. Aside from HotelQuickly, I always try to find good deals through coupons and home stays.

AirBnB. One of the reasons why I am thankful for AirBnB is because it gives travelers so many options. Instead of paying a lot for hotel accommodations, a group of travelers can just rent a home and save a lot.

Chilly Weather in Baguio. It’s super hot these days, and this is the time I wish I were in Baguio. I’m thankful because Baguio residents aren’t only friendly, they are so accommodating as well. Their weather is to die for. I would always choose cold weather instead of hot. But I like hot compared to the rainy season.

Singapore Feels. If I want to have a vacay in a first world country, I go to Singapore. It’s not only near; it’s a shopping center. I’m thankful for all the savings I got because I shopped at Singapore.

Tourist Visa for the USA. One of the biggest blessings I received this year was being blessed with a tourist Visa for the USA. The process was tedious, but the part where they say that you got in is worth it.

Guam Travel Experience. Traveling alone to Guam was a challenge for me because I didn’t know how to drive. I’m thankful for the Filipino community who helped me when I was there.

Home Sweet Home. We have a new home. I’m thankful for being blessed with this above after 24 years.

Thank You List. I’m thankful for creating this list because through it, I had to check myself and think about the things I haven’t been so thankful for this past year.
