Hotel H2o Review
  • The Aqua Room is unique and refreshing!
  • The hotel has many Manila Ocean Park deals
  • Cons
  • This hotel is pricey for budget travelers!
    YES! ABSOLUTELY! 100%. πŸ™‚

    Value For Money9

The first word out of my friends’ mouths when said I told them I was staying at HotelH2o was ‘expensive.’ Indeed, an average of P6,000 per night for a hotel stay is no joke. The question then is, is it worth it?

Morning!!! When you have a place as amazing as this, every corner is Instagram-worthy!!! 😍😍😍 Getting ready for my Ocean Park Tour!!! πŸ™‚ Excited!!! ✨✨✨

The short answer is IT IS. But a short answer won’t cut it.

Today, I’m going to explain why it’s actually cheaper to stay there when you want to go to Manila Park than to choose an inferior hotel. Let’s first break it down to what you get with your money.

    Current rate:

P6100 – Room Accommodation inclusive of Breakfast Buffet at Makan Makan Asian Food Village & Hotbed Treatment from Zenyu Eco Spa good for two (2) persons.

    Other Amenities:

    • Welcome drinks at Club H2O Lounge
    • Turndown service
    • Complimentary Mini-bar (1st night only)
    • Free local calls
    • Use of jet pool and fitness center
    • Coffee & Tea making facilities
    • Wifi access

    P8000 – Everything above plus:

    • Saturday Night Laughs event passes
    • Manila Ocean Park Tickets

Now, let’s see the other side of the coin. What will you spend if you choose a cheaper hotel and get the same extras above?

P3500 – Room rate with breakfast for two.

    • P2000 (P1000 each for a room massage service.)
    • P2000 (P1000 each for Manila Ocean Park Tickets.)
    • P500 roundtrip taxi fee (this is me being generous!)

    Total: P8000

YOU. PAY. THE. EXACT. SAME. AMOUNT.Β And yet you don’t have access to Saturday Night Laughs nor do you have a complimentary mini bar on your first night. More importantly, your hotel isn’t as fancy! #micdrop

So yes, staying at Hotel H2o is very much worth it! <3

Now that we’ve established that, time for the actual review on these six aspects: amenities, cleanliness, wifi strength, comfort, staff Service, and overall value of money.

Since it’s a given that you’d have lots of things to do and see at Manila Ocean, let’s focus on the gym & pool.

Their gym is top-notch. The equipment are well-maintained, and the place itself is kept clean. There’s not a lot of people who use the gym, so if you like working out, you’d have the place for yourself. (Not me, I like sleeping!)

The pool was something I wasn’t so pleased about. First, it wasn’t within the same building. I honestly thought there was none until my friend and I asked the staff. It’s outside the building, which made it a bit inconvenient for guests.

I always tell my friends this: you should judge a hotel by the cleanliness of its comfort room. HotelH2o definitely passed this test! The bathrooms were clean and tidy, and enough bath towels were given for two people.

    Wifi Strength.

Wifi strength is good enough if you’re just browsing the net. I would not suggest uploading or downloading videos and images using their connection.

We slept the whole time we were there. We didn’t want to leave the bed. I think this is more than enough proof for comfort. Watch this video below for my room tour:

    Staff Service.

The staff was friendly and accommodating! I couldn’t say more as I didn’t have a lot of requests when I was there. We simply slept and ate.

    Overall value for money.

Need I say more? I can’t wait to go back! Manila Ocean Park & HotelH2o is perfect when you want an escape from the city or when you want to celebrate a special occasion. <3
